EXO Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of the UK's most successful Insurer's.
Due to significant growth, our client is looking to hire a Tech driven Professional Indemnity Insurance Underwriter.
This will be a hybrid working role with the possibility of fully remote working in the future. You will ideally need to be within a commutable distance from one of their offices in London, Yorkshire, West Midlands and Manchester, for occasional visits.
They are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have a vested interest in enhancing their careers rather than just their salaries.
Our client is willing to consider Tech Assistant Underwriters as well as candidates who are highly experienced.

Salary:

Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous Underwriter to join our client's team in assessing and managing a portfolio of risks .
You will be required to:
- Underwrite new and renewal PI business and MTA’s.
- Assist the PI team with their day-to-day duties.
- Develop and manage relationships with both new and existing insurance brokers.
- Work closely with internal staff and team members
- The following experience/skills are an essential requirement for this role:
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in a PI Underwriting role
- Have previous experience within Professional Indemnity and Information Technology underwriting and/or underwriting portfolios and binders
- Maintain good working relationships with internal departments.
- Being able to absorb information quickly is essential.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Good product and technical knowledge within the UK PI insurance market
- Be self-motivated with the drive and determination to learn and grow within an existing team.
- Being a team player as well as be confident to work on your own initiative.
- Provide and maintain a good level of underwriting, demonstrate a detailed knowledge of company guidelines and authority level
- Review broker generated quotes and encourage broker to place the business by highlighting our client's product benefits and negotiating terms
- Maintain existing broker relationship through regular development meetings in conjunction with Sales and Business Development Managers
- Handle workflow from enquiry receipt to outcome through the workflow platforms
- Actively seek new business prospects utilising the CRM system accordance with the CRM Working Practices guide
- Working with a specialist broker panel is preferred.
- Good communication skills and past experience with dealing with clients by email and telephone.
- Have previous experience with proactively managing own workflow
